Recently there have been a fair number of Hasui Koban (postcard) prints for sale. Although undated, they have generally been described as printed in the 30's. Recently, I have seen a reference to them saying they were printed as late as the 1960's. Does anyone have any further information on them as to when they were printed? Did Watanabe ever reprint them? Does having 'Made in Japan' on the reverse mean anything? Any correlation with paper used (thicker, thinner, 'Made in Japan' print style) and printing date?
Likewise, Koson's Mount Fuji in Snow seemed to be a relatively rare print (not in the Jan Perree collection) but within 2 months, 3 copies have been offered for sale on the internet. I'd be glad to think it's just coincidence, but just to make sure, does anyone know whether Kokkeido prints have ever been reprinted?
