: I looked at Daves comments on Unsodo. Could the gou mei gai sha and gouben gaisha instead just be read as Owia Gasen? He is the printer in question on my prints by Unsodo?

: Can anyone help me read this two part seal? The lower half seems to be a match to Unsodo.

: Dear Fred,

: You can read two parts seal as follows:

: Upper two characters ; KYO TO
: Middle four characters; GOU MEI GAI SHA
: Lower four characters; UN SOU DOU HAN

: In addition for your reference, you might note small four charcters in circle which suggested a certain year in Japanese special E TO indication of sity year cycle

: This seal reads BO SHIN in SHOWA era, which means either in 1928 or in 1988.

: I cannot determine which year could be applicable for this case and whether it was the publication year or other indication.

: Moreover five characters on left side reads as follows (perhaps);

: TAKA NAWA YORU no YUKI (Night Snow in Takanawa)

: Please refer to the chats and images depicted at re:help with unsodo posted by D. Schaefer and its reply by D. Bull on Feb 18 on this chat board

: I hope you could clear your obscurities on your print.
