: Some dealers use plastic sleeves (sometimes in loose notebooks) to preserve and display Japanese prints. Is this safe (sure is convenient)? Are there any negative archival properties to plastic sleeves to be wary of (such as, abrasion, static electricty, or chemical reaction)? Are there certain periods of Japanese prints that are more likely to be harmed? Thanks.
I should have made it clear that I'm not asking if plastic sleeves will protect the prints from light rays--only if they are a safe medium in which to store prints. Thanks, again.
