: I have bought a kuniyoshi print, and would like to figure out what legend the print tells. Could anybody help me with the calligrafy on it? The picture shows an older samurai on a horse, apparently victorious, though several arrows are sticking in his back, while lifting his left arm, holding an armour (?) in his hand. He seems to be crushing a soldier with his horse.
