: How did you insert the .jpg file into the comments box?

: I would like to post a .jpg file of a Yoshitoshi print and ask for help identifying it.

First of all, you have to upload the image file to a web server, to make it available to the Internet.

As you can use HTML tags in the body of your message (see the FAQ), you just add a reference to the image file, where you want your image to appear, like this small Yoshitoshi image:

Yoshitoshi

The HTML code itself is visible in the Comments: box below. Naturally, you have to insert the web address of your own image instead of the one in this example.

Be very careful not to make any typos in your HTML code, and check that the address of your image is working, before you press the Submit Follow up button. I don't think Gary will be very pleased having to clean up after you.

Use only JPEG or GIF files, and try keeping them as small as possible to avoid long downloading times.

Also, remember that the image must remain available at the address given in your message, as long as your message is available for reading, here or in the archives. Don't erase or move the image file, unless it's absolutely necessary!

I hope that I have got all my HTML tags right, now. :-)
