I have a print signed "Kochoro Toyokuni ga" with 2 censor's seals (i.e. 1847-53) showing a woman standing in a room, according to hairstyle and the way the obi is tied neither an actor nor a courtesan.
The title (of the print or the series?) reads: "Hime komatsu nobe no itoyu" which I translated as something like: "Glittering Air of Pinus parviflora (i.e. small-leaved pine) Fields".
This translation makes not much sense to me; is it completely wrong or could it be the title of a story or kabuki play?
Can anyone help me with the translation and tell me what it means?
Thank you,
