Hello fellow enthusiasts! I am an artist and do mostly block printing. I just got home in
June from a couple weeks study with Japanese printer Keiji Shinahora in Penland, N.C. I am
Working on a new series of male figure color woodcuts. Also just discovered Bertha Lum at the
Gallery Book store here in Wash. DC, hoping to find her work on display soon and other American
artists working in same fashion.
My question to all of you is have you seen any good collections of Amer. Color woodcuts? Where can
I find some to study?
I became interested in Japanese prints at the Ronin Gallery back in 1975 when they were in the old
Explorers club on east 70th St.NYC.This is my first trip to the online gallery!
I want to congradulate the founders on creating such a powerful experience for me back then, which
has remained a treasured one ever since.
