I was in Japan a couple of months ago and the ryokan where I was staying had a beautiful print showing a woman standing in a lake or pond, water around her ankles, slightly bending over. I asked my Japanese host about the print and she said it was a picture of a "kluppa" or "kuppa", some sort of japanese myth or fairy tale. I really didn't understand what she said but I tried to locate one while I was in Japan and when I returned to the States but have had no luck.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
