I have a rather beautiful Kiyonaga print. I have been told that it is acutally a fake
Certainly the paper is wrong. It is mid 18th century.
It has been suggested that it was done by a wood block artist
who faked a nuber of Utamaros in the 30s.
It has been seen by an expert on woodblock prints in
Hong Kong and by the curator of the Asian collection
at the New South Wales art gallery. Does anyone know anytbing about these fakes?
