Thank you for that information. The Kiyonaga is called Girls from the Orange house. Do you know if Kiyonaga actually did this or is it a flight of fancy in his style?
Do you know if Takamizawa Enji faked Utamaro?
I have another fake from the same source that I bought at the same time as the Kiyonaga(not Utamaro but the name excapes me at the moment. It is called something like Girls from the Green House) I suspect by the same artist faking a diffferent late 18th century artist on the same mid 19th century paper The comment from the expert was that he would believe that both prints were real as they were so perfect except for the fact that he had never seen both artist's prints are really hard to come by. He had not actually ever seen either for sale.

The gallery curator thought both posthumous prints from the original blocks. I do intend to hold on to them. They really are very fine.
