I have a print by Sencho (pupil of Eisen, act. 1830-50) showing a courtesan of Ogi-ya (I believe).
I have difficulties reading the title of the series:
-- Keisei (prostitute)
- SEN, izumi (spring, source)
- RYU, RU, naga.. (stream, river)
- GO, GA, KA, a... (union, compare)
I am not sure whether "comparing courtesans to river sources" makes any sense - can anyone help?
