I found one of Toshi Yoshida's prints in 1989 in Kyoto. I had no and now
have a little knowledge of Japanese prints, but this one still gives
me the same pleasure as the first time I looked at it. It is "From
the Ryukogu Bridge" and I have been told it is an earlier one, and that
his style has changed since then.
: : I'd like to hear from other owners of this artists' work. I'd like to hear your
: : stories: How you came across your prints & what prints you own.
: : Back in 1984-85 I began collecting Toshi Yoshida's work (among others) while I
: : while I was stationed in Tokyo. I was only about 21 then. I was very fortunate to
: : meet Mr. Yoshida back then and had my Tiger print signed by him on the back of the
: : print. I was able to obtain a color catalog of his work from the gallery I pruchased
: : from- showing descriptions & sizes. I am willing to share this information if anyone
: : is interested. I own the following prints: The Tiger, Irozaki Morning, Monument Valley,
: : and Running Gazelles, and Cherry Blossum.
