I have a Chikanobu Triptych depiticting a battle scene on three panels, each 35x24.5cm. Panel descriptions from left to right are:

1. A large sailing ship with men and officers in western dress but do not have wertern features. The officers are wearing wide naval hats and the men are standing at attention with rifles and bayonets attached. The naval ship is flying a flag showing an red anchor crossed by two red wavy lines on a white bacground. The naval vessel is being approached by long boats carrying men not in uniform with rifles. The Long boat is flying a flag comprised of a white circle with a white cross inside on a red background. There are two verticle red panels next to the anchor flag each whith 5 kanji

2. The second panel is another long boat with the same flag and description of men except that one may be brandishing a sword. A few men are still sown ashore.

3. The third panel shows mainly men ashore with a long boat in the background flying the white circle-white cross flag. The men are showing an assortment of weapons. In the upper righ corner is a kanji writing of 13 across and 10 down measuring 13x7cm. There ia red panel to the right with 5 kanji and one below with 5 kanji

This could have been a deptiction of the quelling of the insurrection at Kagoshima, but I'm just guessing.

Can anyone give an ID?

Thanks
