: : The book "Hiroshige: Prints and Drawings" edited by Matthi Forrer which was published by Prestel in 1997 has a full page illustration of the print. It is illustrated at Plate 61.
: Many thanks. We'll pick up the book. Unfortunately, our "Whirlpool" is on silk rather than paper. We'd love to know how or why woodblocks would be printed on silk? Anyone?
The contempory print maker, Kawachi Seiko, Did two of this whirlpool, one small and one large, but very similar compositions, available at Yoseido and at at Watanabe in Tokyo. Has anyone seen the work of both artists?
