Dear Mr. Grund,
I am very happy to discuss any conservation issues with you.
Please carefully specify your criticism carefully about my previous comment on mylar pockets and storage of Japanese prints in general.
However to have a discussion which can produce some insights and further the knowledge of both parties (and hopefully other interested people) you should consider the important element of using a civilized discussion tone. I’m very positive to further my own knowledge.
I would like to know which web pages I’m blindly bashing? I wasn’t aware off having made a reference to any specific web page in my comment. Maybe you can enlighten me, so we can discuss specific procedures.
For the reader of this comment, my native mother tongue is not English. Foreign languages is my weakest area of ”illiteracy”, so please have this in mind when reading any of my comments.
I wish all the lovers of Japanese art and specifically the readers of this web board a happy 2001. May your comming pursuits of the ”Japanese print” be rewarding.
Sincerely
Anders Rikardson
PM. Andreas Grund, as you seems to be living in Tokyo, my home is open to you. We can talk about conservation of Japanese prints first hand and I can show you many ”shin hanga”. Still it is valuable to conduct a discussion publicly to further the knowledge and raise important questions.
