I have found some folders containing woodblock prints by the subjects above which were brought back from Japan by my grandparents about 30 years ago.
There are "certificates" of originality with some of them from the Uchida Art Co., Ltd.
Some have titles such as the Stations series(Miya,Fujikawa,Yoshiwara etc.) and there are some scrawled notes for others such as Kuniyoshi, picture of O-tou and two other large prints that are unnamed.
I am showing my ignorance in this matter but the prints have a look as though they have been ironed, maybe evenfolded and then restored. In any case I was searching around the web to find out some info. on these prints and came upon this site which is full of thoughtful and detailed information about Japanese woodblock prints.
I am not sure what to do with these prints-whether they are of any value, should they be framed and how, if not to my taste, what do I do with them that is intelligent...it appears from your messages that the study of these prints can be quite interesting. Do you have some concise steps I can follow?
