Hi John,

I'm trying to understand your point of view, but I'm finding it to be a bit on the severe side.

In the interest of preservation, you advocate not displaying your hanga. However, I get the sense that even if it were possible to display it with no physical degradation, you still wouldn't do it because seeing it every day would degrade it emotionally for you.

It leads me to wonder what might be found on the walls of the Fiorillo home besides flat latex paint.

In our home (my wife is a watercolorist), we are surrounded by art, to the extent that before something new can go on the wall, something else must come down to make room for it. There's too much art to get tired of any of it. For a fresh experience, just stop anywhere and look deeply.

Perhaps we're being reckless, but we are certainly having fun; and our children are, I hope, getting inspired.

Marc
