What is intersting is that the artist's signature is printed over parts of the picture (almost
like it had been added later).
His "gourd" seal is similar to some I have seen for Masanobu.
Also, it seems hand coloured but I am not sure of that.
I acquired a Masanobu print and it seems authentic but is backed so it is difficult to tell. The size is chuban.
I think the print may be an original Masanobu, an early copy, of which I understand
there were many and the reason why he developed his "gourd" seal, or a more recent
copy.
Are there any thoughts as to what this may be. Further, does it seem hand colored and
what date could it have been
printed.
