Dealers and auction houses offer Hasui watercolors from time to time; these are typically what the carver and printer used when producing a woodblock print.
After buying a watercolor one might also be interested in having the corresponding print; often they are not identical.
Regarding the estimate you saw, the watercolors are unique and naturally quite valuable. If you would like information on books which refer to Hasui's prints (and watercolors), I can be reached at KB_Tooling@delphi.com
