Thanks to the three individuals who responded initially. I bought a rather large number of Toshi Yoshida prints in the early 1990's, mostly at a gallery in Mendocino CA. They all have an original-looking signature. He has since died. Is there a way to check the authenticity of the signatures-he was in poor health in later years?
I particularly enjoy ones done in the 30s to early
50s. There is a catalog of all his work put out by the Yoshida Hanga Collection in Tokyo. I can provide an address. I've also heard that a new Toshi "book" has appeared recently. Who knows?
