Wouldn't it be great if there was a database on
the Web that had ukiyo-e artist signatures in
some kind of graphic display? (Any enterprising
web designers out there??). My copy of "A Guide
to Japenese Prints and Their Subject Matter" by
Basil Stewart has an excellent signature chart,
but this book was published in 1922, and seems
lacking. Are there any reference materials on
ukiyo-e signatures and publisher seals someone
may care to recomend?
