Hi Roald,
It is my opinion that the commemorative prints are a
desirable alternative to the supervised editions. They were
produced by his son, Toshi Yoshida's highly skilled studio in the same manner
that Toshi's original works were produced. The same blocks were used
and the quality is consistant. They are beautiful prints.
It goes without saying, however, that none of the later
impressions achieve the subtle nuance of light and color of
those touched by the master.
